As Chief Executive Officer of the Mother Teresa Catholic Academy Trust (MTCAT), I am immensely proud of our dedicated staff and the vibrant communities we serve. Rooted in our Catholic faith and guided by our shared vision of “Strength in Unity,” we place Christ at the centre of everything we do.
All our schools belong to the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth and are committed to Bishop Philip’s vision for education. By putting children, pupils, and students first, we seek to nurture their God-given gifts and talents so that they may achieve the highest possible outcomes, always delivered in Christ’s name. Our Trust is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and development. As more schools join our family, we are strengthening our capacity to share expertise, build strong networks of support, and ensure that every community benefits from belonging to something greater. Growth brings new opportunities—to innovate, to invest in our staff, and to broaden the experiences we can offer to our young people. We are inspired by the words of St Paul in his letter to the Romans: “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Romans 12:4–5). This powerful truth lies at the heart of our Trust. Each school, staff member, pupil, and family brings unique gifts and strengths, yet we belong to one another in Christ. It is in our unity that we find strength, and in our diversity that we discover richness. Our staff form a truly committed workforce, where collaboration, coaching, and high-quality professional development are the hallmarks of what we do. Together, we strive to deliver a first-class Catholic education that reflects the Gospel values of Hope, Faith, and Love. We are proud to work in close partnership with families, parishes, and local communities, ensuring that every child feels included, supported, and celebrated. In the spirit of Mother Teresa herself, we welcome all in Christ’s name and accompany our young people on their journey of faith, learning, and service. With unity of purpose and faith, and with the assurance that we “belong to each other” in Christ, we look forward to building a flourishing future together for every child entrusted to our care.
